The author

Vera Hayle

Vera Hayle writes dark academia romance: secret societies, red wax, old stone, and women who lie better than the men who think they’re dangerous.

Her Under Wax series is set at Aldermere, a six-hundred-year-old English college where a society that doesn’t exist meets beneath the chapel. All the Saints Lie is the first book. Saints Don’t Kneel follows on 17 December 2026.
